Birth Doula Services

As a birth doula, I am hired to provide emotional support and physical comfort for a laboring person. I assist in gathering information and, if needed, provide reassurance and facilitate communication between the laboring person, her partner, and clinical care providers. I provide support before labor begins, and during active birth. I do not take the place of her partner, but rather help the couple in any capacity that they need. 

During labor, a doula’s skills make a true difference in the birth experience itself, increasing maternal satisfaction. As a birth doula, I do not make any medical decisions for a laboring woman or perform clinical tasks. Rather, I can make suggestions for labor progress and help with relaxation, soothing massage, positioning for labor, and other techniques for comfort. As a doula, I can help to relieve stress and anxiety.

Complete Birth Doula Package $2900

  • Complimentary initial consultation

  • 2 (90 min each )prenatal visits to inform parents of comfort measures, the stages of labor, and how to plan for onset of labor as well as postpartum period

  • Nutritional Guidance

  • One postnatal visit to check on the status of mom and baby.

  • Assist in preparing for and carrying out your plans for birth

  • On-call starting at 38 weeks

  • Support you during the entire labor and delivery process

  • Provide emotional support, physical comfort measures and an objective viewpoint

  • Help you get the information you need to make informed decisions

  • Facilitate communication between the laboring woman, her partner and her clinical care providers

  • Allow the woman’s partner to participate at his/her comfort level

  • Unlimited email and phone support

  • Postpartum Doula/ Nanny Referral

  • Includes the Group Childbirth Class

Complete Birth Doula Package + Private Pre/Postnatal Yoga $3250

Everything included in my Birth Doula Service Package, plus (4) private ( 60 min each ) prenatal yoga sessions in the comfort of your own home. You may also chose to schedule one or two of these classes for after baby is born for a postnatal yoga. I will provide all of the yoga props that we will use during our practice together.

WINTER series - MAX 7 Couples

We meet 3 times, 2 hours each class

10am-12pm EST

Hosted at my home (Monteith Park ), Huntersville NC

The Private 6 hour workshop takes place in the privacy of your home. You may chose 2 visits (3 hours per visit or 3 visits (2 hours per visit ). The course is more than “birth education”, although we will touch on the stages of labor and what to look for when labor begins. I will guide you and your partner through writing your birth plan, breathing techniques, and ways to manage labor in a way that is tailored to your needs and specific concerns & potential anxieties. Included in this course is the option of unlimited text or phone support during your labor so that if you have questions or need me to breathe through a contraction with you, I am just a phone call away. Group class covers same topics. The phone support add-on is a wonderful option for many couples who do not choose to have a birth doula present for birth. Please inquire about rates & availability for added phone support if this is something you are interested in.
